Description

In this one-day seminar, participants will explore specific and unique approaches in family-centred music therapy guided by leading International researchers and clinicians in the field: Stine Lindahl Jacobsen (Denmark), Grace Thompson (Australia), and Tali Gottfried (Israel). With an emphasis on experiential learning, participants will be guided to explore three different approaches to practice that focus on the children’s needs and capabilities, as well as the parents’ resources. Case examples will highlight specific music therapy techniques framed by theoretical perspectives, to explore “what works” in music therapy with families. The seminar will be structured around active learning tasks with a small group of participants (maximum of 30) to enable each participant to engage deeply with the material and the presenters. Continuing professional development certificates will be provided, and the event will be followed by social drinks.

“The presenters were very knowledgeable, worked beautifully together and shared their expertise skilfully. The seminar gets my highest recommendations.”

“It was a very interesting and fruitful day. It was good that we could share from different work settings and everyone really shared their knowledge and experiences. A good mixture of theory and practice. Thank You!
